Happy B-day Mommy.....

Happy Birthday Mommy! Today is the first birthday I am not celebrating with MOM on the actual day! I wanted so much to be there BUT guess mom is better in arranging her own program as well! She is going out with her friends.... Well that is one thing that makes me less worry when I am so far away! The feeling is still not the same, as you wake up and unable to hug mommy and wish her Happy Birthday but after talking on the phone with her it makes me feel better.

We did had an early Birthday celebration the day before we traveled down to Johor. That was like many days ahead so to me it is still a little doesn't count! To add to that we almost were in a rush, as my father in law was in the hospital after a minor surgery. Anyway we did had a good time, we went to

La-La Chong Seafood Restaurant
Kg Sg Kayu Ara
Lot 13556, Jalan Cempaka,
Kayu Ara Damansara,
47400 Petaling Jaya.31 Jalan PJU 1a/5a
Taman Perindustrian Jaya, 47301 Petaling Jaya, Selangor, Malaysia
03-7845-1250

As seen in the pix we ordered pucuk paku in belacan, sweet and sour crab with man tao, fried squid, kung pao clam and longevity noodle. It is indeed a very scrumptious meal, but we consider it a bit pricey! (not comparing to Johor standard though! Hence the "a-bit")

Still remember the mommy's past birthdays when we were younger, we would save up pocket money to throw a little home birthday for mommy! It was fun thinking about it! Being young at that time, the most delicious food we could spend mommy is KFC or a McDonald (It wasn't called McD in the past! Now we just kinda of call it "Dong Dong" (Hubby and I gave this nickname for McD for the fun of it)) And we used to make little birthday cards for mom! We should do that again! Do not let that kind of good tradition fade away! Must teach it to my children in the future as well.

Celebrating at home before going out for dinner,
our little family photo
(But the photo is a bit blurry - Auntie's hand VERY shaky as my camera has anti-shake)

My boys also want to celebrate granny's bday!
Here is our family photo with the boys..... Granny so happy!

Instead of a normal Happy B-day to you mommy, let me dedicate a poem for ya :

Mommy, your birthday means so much to me;
To have you in my life another year,
The time I spent enfolded in your love,
Each day, each moment with you is so dear.
I love you and want you to know,
I think of you often wherever I go.
You lift me up; you're like walking sunshine;
I am blessed to have a great mother like mine.
Your endless affection makes you special and rare;
I'm always amazed by how much you care.
What you've given to me I can never repay,
Thank you, Mom, on your 59th birthday.

Mommy dearest!
Mom goofying around with the chilli-padi,
now you know where I got my happy-go-lucky character from ;p
