Family....

Family is an important thing in our life. We don't get to choose our family, they are God given gifts! They are placed in our life for a purpose. I came from a single parent family, therefore I only invited one side of my family - my mom's, mom also came from a very small family, therefore I  invited my 2 uncles and an auntie for my wedding. 

Usually I do not have anything against my family(not mom and sis - they are cool!), but then something really disappointing happened that breaks my heart and make me very sad. I invited my uncle from Klang and as informed by my mom,the good news has been conveyed to him since last year, when the wedding plan was first announced! Matter of fact my mom has informed both my uncles and my auntie beforehand! And they had agreed to come! As I handed out the card, my youngest uncle and family says ok! In fact I had his full support, his little boy is my ring-boy and his eldest daughter will be my bridesmaid. My auntie, says Yes! And was willing to help in any way she can. 

Then it was my Uncle from Klang! He agreed at first but then start showing signs of "I am not going to make it" when my mom hand him the card. That's where the drama started! Standard dress-code is coat! If one does not have a coat, then they can wear slack and shirt! My uncle insisted on wearing a t-shirt! Ok! fine! I don't mind... Then the next problem is sitting. They insist on knowing who they are sitting with and upon knowing that it was with pastor and wife, the fire back my mom with words like his children doesnt like sitting with pastor and family! Well what is the matter of who you are sitting with, its just a place! And its just a few hours! Can't you just get it by! He spitted venom towards my mom, so harsh that I got so angry! He keep saying that on the same day there is this preacher in town at his church and he is eager to get his wife's family saved so he is actually compromising his faith to attend my wedding! Well then if his family couldn't make it then I am ok! We do not want to interfere with your purpose driven life and mission saving! I can see now what is it like to have family! It's not the sitting problem, neither is it the dressing problem, it is the heart's problem and if this is so, I am ok! I am a very forgiving person and do not wish to hassle over small matters like this! If a friend do not consider me friend then so be it, same theory if family doesn't want to be a family then I am happy to say "SO BE IT"
